BuffHaven is an independent PC gaming site. We play every game we write about and ground every guide, news piece and review in real hands-on time.

Our review process

Every review is based on a minimum of hands-on play on a desktop PC, not press materials. We test on mid-range hardware, note performance honestly, and score out of 10. Scores are never influenced by affiliate relationships or publisher access.

How we score

• 9–10 — genre-defining, buy without hesitation.
• 7–8 — strong, recommended with minor caveats.
• 5–6 — flawed but has an audience.
• Below 5 — hard to recommend at any price.
